1. We Collect and Use Personal Information

We follow the principle of data minimization and only collect information necessary to provide services. In order to operate the services of Photo Revive AI and provide a good user experience, we will collect and store the following information about you:

1.1 Login and Registration Functions

1.1.1 Account Registration and Login Information

When you log in with your email address, we may collect and process the following information:

  • Email Address: Used for account creation, authentication, and syncing services related to your account.
  • Third-Party Account Information: When you sign in using Google or Apple, we receive limited information from these services, such as your email address and a unique identifier associated with your account. We do not collect any additional data from these third-party services.
  • Authentication Data: We may store security tokens provided by third-party authentication services to verify your login status.

For users who log in through Google or Apple, we do not collect or store your password. For users who log in via email, your account information is used only for identity verification, account management, and in-product personalization. It will not be used for advertising or cross-platform tracking.

Important Notice: We do not collect or store your password when you log in via Apple or Google.

1.1.2 Purpose of Using Account Information

We use registration and login-related information to:

  • Verify your identity and maintain login security;
  • Provide account recovery and customer support services;

1.2 Permissions and Device Features in the App

Depending on the functions you choose to use in this application (mobile), we may request access to certain features or data on your mobile device, such as:

  • Camera and Photos: Used to create images or videos.
  • Push Notifications: Used to notify you about updates, features, or service-related messages. You can manage or revoke these permissions at any time in your mobile device settings. However, please note that disabling certain permissions may limit or prevent the normal operation of some service functions in this application.

1.3 Face Data, Image Processing Functions, and iOS Biometric Usage

1.3.1 Face Recognition and iOS Biometric Usage

On iOS, our application does not collect or process any facial recognition data or biometric identifiers for AI or analytics purposes.

If you choose to log in using “Sign in with Apple,” the system may use Face ID or other biometric authentication methods to verify your identity. However, this authentication is entirely handled by Apple, and Photo Revive AI does not access or store any biometric data.

1.3.2 Image Processing Functions

  • Information Collected: When you use image enhancement, restoration, coloring, or AI generation functions, you need to actively upload photos containing portraits, objects, or scenes. If the photos you upload contain facial data, in order to achieve accurate image processing and optimization (such as facial restoration or style transfer), our algorithms will temporarily analyze these facial features to complete your instructions. We solemnly promise that such analysis is used only for this image processing task and will never be used to identify your identity, for marketing, or for any other purpose unrelated to providing the service, nor will it be shared with any third party.
  • Purpose of Use: The sole purpose of this information is to provide you with the image processing services you request based on your instructions (for example, analyzing facial features to better complete facial restoration or style transfer).
  • Authentication data: We may store security tokens provided by third-party authentication services to verify your login status.
  • Data Usage: We do not store the images you upload or any personal information related to them. The images are used only to generate the required visual effects within the app, ensure accurate alignment of facial feature visual effects, and improve the precision and personalization of AI-generated content.
  • Data Processing Methods:
    • Transmission and Storage: The images you upload will be temporarily uploaded to our encrypted servers for processing. After processing is completed, the original images and analysis results containing facial data will be stored for no more than 3 months and will be permanently deleted from the server after 3 months, ensuring your data security and short retention period; unless you explicitly authorize and agree that we retain anonymized data for model optimization.
    • Local Retention: The generated images will be saved by default on your local device. We do not retain any copies on the server side. You may save them to your device’s photo album through the app’s save function.
    • Third-party Processing: Where necessary to provide services, we may entrust third-party service providers to process your data. However, through agreements and other measures, we ensure that they comply with confidentiality and security obligations equivalent to this Policy and prohibit them from using the data for any other purpose or retaining the data after processing is completed.

1.4 Information We Automatically Collect

To optimize product experience, analyze service performance, and ensure operational security (based on our legitimate interests in improving services and maintaining security), when you use our services, we automatically collect and record certain information that cannot independently identify you. This information includes:

1. Device and log information. To optimize your experience, we collect information about the device you use to access our services, such as device type and operating system. This helps ensure the app runs well across different devices.

2. Usage and preferences. We analyze your interactions with our services and usage frequency, which helps us improve the app and customize it according to your preferences to enhance your experience.

3. Payment information (via Apple): If you choose to subscribe, Apple securely processes all payment data through the App Store. We cannot access your full payment details—all transactions are handled by Apple’s system and are completely secure.

1.5 How We Use Your Information

We use your information for various purposes depending on the type of information collected and your interaction with our services. These purposes include:

1. Providing services. We use your information to support the core functions of Photo Revive AI, including generating and saving user content, managing your preference settings, and responding to your inquiries. We may also send you product updates and practical tips to enhance your user experience.

2. Communicating with you. We send service-related notifications via email and push notifications, including account updates (such as subscription renewals and expirations), security alerts, and other important messages. You may manage push notification preferences in your device settings.

3. Improving services and business operations. We analyze usage trends, evaluate the effectiveness of promotional activities, and improve product features, marketing strategies, and user experience, as well as optimize the overall functions of Photo Revive AI to better serve users.

4. Enhancing security and preventing fraud. We use your information to identify, investigate, and mitigate security risks, fraudulent activities, and unauthorized access. Our security measures include monitoring potential threats, conducting risk assessments, and taking necessary measures to prevent malicious or illegal activities, while complying with industry standards.

2. How We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) to collect and store your preference settings or other information to enhance your user experience. For example, we use local storage to save your login status so that you do not need to log in again each time you launch the app. You may manually log out through device settings.

3. How We Store and Protect Your Personal Information

  • Retention Period: We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes described in this Policy, unless there is a mandatory legal retention requirement (for example, retention of transaction records).

    • Account information: Stored continuously while you maintain your account, until you delete your account.
    • Image data in processing: As described in Section 1.2, temporarily retained on the server for no more than 3 months.

  • Protection Measures: We adopt security technologies, procedures, and organizational measures in line with industry standards to protect your personal information, including the use of encryption technologies (such as SSL/TLS) for data transmission, strict access control mechanisms, and regular server security scans, to prevent unauthorized access, public disclosure, use, modification, damage, or loss of data.

In order to provide advanced AI-driven video and image generation services, we cooperate with multiple third-party AI model providers.

  • Processor List: Depending on the specific models or features you choose in the service, your data may be processed by providers including but not limited to Google, Kuaishou (Kling), and Alibaba (Wan).
  • Content We Share: We only share the minimum necessary information required for content generation, including: user-provided prompt text, uploaded images, and style preferences.
  • Data Minimization and Anonymization: We do not share sensitive personal identity information with these third-party AI processors, such as your account ID, email address, real name, or precise geographic location data.

Where technically feasible, all data used for AI processing will be de-identified to protect your privacy.

5. Content Restrictions

To ensure the safety, compliance, and a healthy content environment of the platform, we have established the following rules for all AI content generated, uploaded, or shared by users on the platform. These restrictions apply to all content generated, uploaded, or shared on Photo Revive AI.

Although our service aims to exclude adult, violent, or sensitive content, due to the inherent uncertainty of AI-generated content, this service is intended only for users aged 18 and above. Minors should use this service under the guidance and supervision of their parents or legal guardians.

5.1 Prohibited Content

We prohibit the following types of content:

  • Illegal content: Including but not limited to fraud, violent behavior, illegal transactions, or other content that violates laws and regulations.
  • Harmful and inappropriate content: Content that incites hatred, violence, discrimination, or contains offensive content involving sensitive topics such as race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or political stance.
  • Explicit or adult content: Any explicit pornographic content, excessive violence, or content involving minors, animal abuse, or sexual exploitation.
  • Intellectual property infringement: Content that infringes the copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights of others.
  • False or misleading content: Content that intentionally spreads false, misleading, or deceptive information, especially when presented as real information.
  • Privacy-violating content: Content that discloses personal information without consent or infringes on others’ privacy.
  • Hate speech and harassment: Insulting, threatening, harassing, or bullying content targeting individuals or groups.
  • Dangerous behavior-related content: Content that promotes or glorifies self-harm, suicide, or other dangerous behaviors.

Since our platform uses AI to generate content, due to the particular nature of AI technology, to ensure ethical and responsible use, we impose the following additional restrictions:

  • No misrepresentation: You must not present AI-generated content as your own creation without proper disclosure.
  • No input of sensitive data: You must not input sensitive personal data (such as racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, health data, or sexual orientation) into our AI tools.
  • Proper use of AI: You must not use our AI tools to generate harmful, offensive, or prohibited content as described above.

5.3 Enforcement

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates the above restrictions and take appropriate actions (including suspending or terminating accounts). We may also report illegal activities to the relevant authorities.
